6 spine surgeons on the move in March

Here are six spine and neurosurgeons who joined new practices or gained new titles in March:

1. Amandeep Bhalla, MD, was named director of the Spine Center at MemorialCare's Long Beach (Calif.) Medical Center.

2. Samuel Cho, MD, a specialist in minimally invasive spine surgery and complex reconstruction of spinal deformities, will lead New York City-based Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai's upcoming spine center.

3. Arianne Boylan, MD, became the first female neurosurgeon at Hartford (Conn.) Healthcare Network when she joined the system's Spine Wellness Center in Westport, Conn.

4. Intraoperative neuromonitoring services company Assure Holdings appointed Isador Lieberman, MD, to its medical advisory committee.

5. Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai has appointed David Skaggs, MD, co-director of its spine center, director of the pediatrics program and executive vice chair of the department of orthopedics.

6. The American Academy of Neurological Surgery appointed neurosurgeon James Markert, MD, president.
