Dr. Perry founded Louisiana Orthopedic Specialists in 2008 after completing fellowship training in San Antonio, the post said. Since then the practice has grown to more than 200 employees and spans all aspects of orthopedic care.
Dr. Perry aspired for the practice to have a specialized surgical hospital, and that will open in 2025, the post said.
He is also remembered as a lifelong learner and kept his surgical education fresh. He performed Lafayette’s first anterior total hip replacement, and the first surgery with the ROSA robot in Louisiana’s Acadiana region.
Dr. Perry is survived by his wife and three sons.
