Orthopedic surgeon convicted of abuse loses medical license

Orthopedic

An Iowa orthopedic surgeon who was convicted of child abuse lost his license, the Iowa Capital Dispatch reported March 29.

Lynn Lindaman, MD, an orthopedist, was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse in 2023, the report said. At the time he signed an agreement not to practice medicine until the case was resolved.

In February a jury found him guilty of one count, and the other count was dismissed before trial. Dr. Lindaman hasn't been sentenced yet, but he agreed to have his medical license revoked.
