Neurosurgeon Sanjiv Bhatia, MD, died May 24.

Janet Bay, MD, retired from OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She is the 13th woman to become board-certified to practice neurosurgery in the U.S.

Oren Gottfried, MD, was featured for his work outside the operating room as a medical consultant for several television shows.

Usman Zahir, MD, became the first surgeon in Virginia to perform a laminectomy using a joimax endoscopic device.

Phillip Kravetz, MD, joined Physician Partners of America.

Christopher Yeung, MD, received the Arizona Medical Association's 2018 Sportsman Award.
