1. Dr. Lucas is an orthopedic surgeon at Mercy Orthopedic Associates in Durango. He specializes in foot and ankle disorders.
2. Dr. Lucas implanted the 3D-printed, cobalt-chrome implant in a patient with avascular necrosis of the talus.
3. According to Dr. Lucas, Mercy is the third U.S. location where the procedure has been performed.
