Here are three things to know:

1. Happe Spine developed and will commercialize a technology to reinforce PEEK implants based on the work of Ryan K. Roeder, PhD, and University of Notre Dame (Ind.) researchers.

2. The company's spinal interbody implants use hydroxyapatite whisker reinforced PEEK with variable porosity to promote osteointegration.

3. Happe Spine is an early stage portfolio company of Genesis Innovation Group.
