Health-Fit Chiropractic & Sports Medicine, a leader in chiropractic care, is hosting a workshop titled "Injury Prevention" for runners, triathletes and cyclists.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. The workshop will be three hours and will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26 in Boca Raton, Fla.

 

2. The workshop will over several topics including:

 

•    How overuse injuries occur in endurance athletes
•    Dispel misconceptions that cause issues for runners
•    Pre-activity warm up
•    Selective functional movement assessment
•    Kinesio-Taping do's-and-don'ts
•    Self-managing aches and pains
•    When to see a doctor for an injury

 

3. Trainer Tony Villani will demonstrate his patent-pending SHREDmill and show guests how to enhance their performance.

 

4. Mr. Villani has trained NFL Super Bowl Champion Jermine Louise and tennis star Ivan Lendl among various other leading athletes. He has trained several athletes who have been drafted in the first rounds of the MLB, NFL and NBA.
