Here are 10 spine surgeons and neurosurgeons who joined new practices or hospitals in the past month.

Adil Samad, MD, a spine surgeon with special interest in scoliosis and complex revisions, joined Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa.

 

Neurosurgeon Menarvia Nixon Gaddis, MD, joined Jackson, Miss.-based Merit Health Central.

 

Naperville, Ill.-based Edwards Neurosciences Institute welcomed Drew Spencer, MD, a neurosurgeon with a special interest in brain and spine tumor treatment.

 

Matthew Schreckinger, MD, joined Santa Maria, Calif.-based Marin Regional Medical Center after completing his residency at Detroit Medical Center.

 

Neurosurgeon Lon Alexander, MD, joined Rush Health in Chicago.

 

South Lake Tahoe, Calif.-based Tahoe Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine welcomed Zackary Child, MD, a spine surgeon focused on musculoskeletal oncology.

 

John Caruso, MD, joined Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine's neurosurgery department and will serve as the director of neurological surgery at Martinsburg, W.Va.-based Berkeley Medical Center.

 

St. Joseph, Mich.-based Lakeland Health welcomed neurosurgeon Rafeek Woods, MD, who has completed a minimally invasive and complex spine fellowship at Loma Linda (Calif.) University Medical Center.

 

After completing his fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery and Weill Cornell School of Medicine in New York City, Okezie Aguwa, MD, joined Denver Spine Surgeons in Greenwood Village, Colo.

 

Former Yale spine co-chief James Yue, MD, joined Hamden, Conn.-based Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists.
