10 spine, neurosurgeons on the move in March 2016


Here are 10 spine surgeons and neurosurgeons who joined new practices or took new leadership positions in March 2016.

Thomas Errico, MD, chief of the division of spine surgery and department of orthopedic surgery, and Anthony K. Frempong-Boadu, MD, director of the division of spine surgery in the department of neurosurgery, are co-directing the new NYU Langone comprehensive spine center.


Neurosurgeons Sumon Bhattacherjee, MD, and Alexander Hawkins, MD, began providing care at Agnesian HealthCare in Fond du Lac, Wis.


Matthew W. Colman, MD, is leading efforts at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush's new Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Spine Tumor Center in Chicago.


Macon-based Georgia Spine & Orthopedics welcomed Winston R. Jeshhuran, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon who completed a fellowship at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.


John Gorecki, MD, expanded his practice facilities to include Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, Ga.


Orange Park (Fla.) Medical Center's First Coast Neurosurgery welcomed Elizabeth Vitarbo, MD, after she completed a neurotrauma fellowship at the University of Miami.


Orthopedic spine surgeon Ali Zahrai, MD, joined Clearwater-based Orthopaedic Associates of West Florida after completing a spine surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta.


Neurosurgeon Sebastian R. Herrera, MD, joined the Mischer Neuroscience Institute at Memorial Hermann and the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, both in Houston.
