Cardo Medical Sells Joint Arthroplasty Division to Arthrex

Cardo Medical, a Los Angeles-based orthopedic medical device company, has signed an asset purchase agreement with Arthrex, a Naples, Fla.-based sports medicine device company, according to a Cardo Medical news release.

Under the agreement, Cardo will sell all of its joint arthroplasty division to Arthrex. The board of directors from both companies has approved and adopted the agreement.

Cardo Medical plans to focus on its spine division.
