After a four-year patent infringement suit, Stryker has entered into a licensing agreement with TriMed, a Valencia, Calif.-based company that develops and manufactures orthopedic fixation devices, according to a TriMed news release.
Under the agreement, Stryker holds the license to TriMed's Radial Pin Plate and Ulnar Pin Plate for use during treatment of wrist fractures without the need for a post-surgical cast. The plates are designed for stabilizing small bone fragments of these fractures and allow for early mobilization of the injured wrist.
The agreement ends the patent infringement lawsuit.
