Woven Orthopedics’ spine screw fixation tool earns FDA clearance

Woven Orthopedic Technologies earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its Ogmed implant enhancement system, the devicemaker said March 16.

Ogmed is an implantable sleeve to help with screw fixation in spine surgery, according to a news release. Surgeons can deploy it in less than two minutes.

The device will be launched in the U.S. through a staged regional release.
