Jeffrey Binder joined Bill Petty, MD, as co-executive chairman of Exactech following the company's recent go-private agreement with TPG Capital.
Here are three things to know.
1. Mr. Binder has worked in the medical device and diagnostics industry for 25 years. He has served as CEO roles for Biomet and Immucor, and previously held senior roles at Abbott and Johnson & Johnson.
2. Daniel Hann, who held leadership positions with Biomet for more than 25 years, also joined Exactech as senior vice president of business development.
3. Gainesville, Fla.-based Exactech develops and markets orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instruments and biologic materials and services to hospitals and physicians. The company's orthopedic devices are used in the restoration of bones and joints that have deteriorated from injury or disease. Exactech markets in the U.S. and over 30 markets in Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Pacific.
