12 spine, orthopedic centers recently opened or announced

Becker's Spine Review has reported on 12 spine and orthopedic centers opened or announced in the past month:

1. Manitowoc, Wis.-based Holy Family Memorial Medical Center opened the HFM Spine Clinic.

2. Amherst, N.Y.-based Excelsior Orthopaedics opened a facility in Buffalo, N.Y.

3. Watauga Orthopaedics received approval to build a $17 million surgery center in Johnson City, Tenn.

4. Bradley, Ill.-based Oak Orthopedics broke ground on a $15.5 million surgery center in Bourbonnais, Ill.

5. Albany-based OrthoNY opened a $6.9 million facility in Clifton Park, N.Y.

6. Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group opened a spine center with locations in Williamsburg, Va., and Newport News, Va.

7. University of Tennessee Medical Center and OrthoTennessee are developing an orthopedic institute in Knoxville, Tenn., with an orthopedic ASC and a research center.

8. The Orthopedic Health Center in Hoboken, N.J., is moving into a Jersey City, N.J., office with its new partner, The Spine & Sports Health Center.

9. Little Rock, Ark.-based Bowen Hefley Orthopedics opened a clinic in Russellville, Ark.

10. OrthoArkansas is opening a spine center at its main office in Little Rock, Ark., in January.

11. Newark, Del.-based ChristianaCare and Delaware Neurosurgical Group filed a notice of intent with state regulators to consider developing a joint venture spine surgery center.

12. Construction began on a Basalt, Colo., medical office and ASC for the Steadman Clinic, Orthopedic Care Partners, Aspen Valley Hospital and Vail Health.
