Conmed promotes orthopedic president to COO

Medical technology company Conmed has promoted its president of international and global orthopedics, Patrick Beyer, to chief operating officer.

In the new role, Mr. Beyer will take on additional responsibility for leading the company’s commercial businesses, as well as operations, distribution, regulatory affairs, quality assurance and customer excellence, according to an April 24 press release. 

He first joined the company in 2014 and was promoted to president of orthopedics in 2020. In 2022, he led Conmed’s acquisition of In2Bones and BioRez. 

Prior to joining Conmed, Mr. Beyer spent 21 years in various leadership roles at Stryker.
