Dr. Donald Ozumba pleads guilty to 4 sexual assault charges, won't serve additional prison time: 5 notes

Orthopedic surgeon Donald Ozumba, MD, pled guilty to four additional sexual assault charges Feb. 25, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Five things to know:

1. In July 2018, Dr. Ozumba was sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting an elderly patient.

2. A judge sentenced him to no more than eight years in prison for each new count. The sentence will be served concurrently and he will spend no additional time behind bars.

3. Court records said two additional sexual assault charges were dismissed.

4. He was arrested in March 2017 after two women reported that he sexually assaulted them under the guise of treatment at OSSM Orthopaedics in McKinney, Texas.

5. The Texas Medical Board suspended his license. A week after his arrest, three more women reported that Dr. Ozumba had sexually assaulted them, and he was arrested again.
