Here are 11 orthopedic surgeons making headlines.

During its quarterly earnings call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the company had hired Basil Besh, MD, chair of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Board of Councilors, to oversee its medical clinics.

Erie, Pa.-based St. Vincent Hospital orthopedic surgeon Robert Lupo, MD, hosted a free, open to the public seminar on robotic surgery and the Mako system Nov. 5.

Spartanburg (S.C.) Regional Healthcare System welcomed Charles Catron, MD, to its Spartanburg Regional Corporate Health – Spartanburg, Westside clinic.
