Dr. Robert Borzio joins Bayshore Medical Center: 3 notes

Holmdel, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health Bayshore Medical Center welcomed Robert Borzio, MD, according to centraljersey.com.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Borzio is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in muscle-sparing, computer-navigated total hip and knee replacement as well as revision hip and knee replacement procedures.

2. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, which is now part of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He underwent adult reconstruction fellowship training at New York University and Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, both based in New York City.

3. Dr. Borzio is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, among other professional organizations.
