Here are four orthopedic surgeons who made headlines this week.

Juris Shibayama, MD, performed Middle Tennessee's first minimally invasive outpatient transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion.


The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named David Halsey, MD, president of its board of directors.


On March 8, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons presented the 2018 William W. Tipton, Jr., MD, Leadership Award to Monterey, Calif.-based orthopedic surgeon Ramon Jimenez, MD.


David Woodbury, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Northeastern S.C.-based McLeod Health, opened a new office in Sumter, the Sumter ITEM reports.
