Here are 28 orthopedic surgeons who joined new practices or assumed new roles this past month:

White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital welcomed Michael Elia, MD.

 

Michael Lim, MD, will now serve patients through Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates in Torrington, Conn., in addition to his current practice.

 

Orthopedic surgeon Kenneth Johnson, MD, joined Austin, Texas-based Mayo Clinic Health System.

 

Stamford (Conn.) Health named Charles Cornell, MD, of New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery chair of its orthopedic surgery department.

 

Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics welcomed Gwynne Bragdon, MD.

 

The American Health Council named Edmund C. Landry, MD, of Kennett (Mo.) Orthopaedic Center to its physician board.

 

Olympia (Wash.) Orthopaedics Associates welcomed orthopedic surgeon Milan Moore, MD, to its practice.

 

Elkins, W.Va.-based Davis Medical Center added Walter Boardwine, MD, to its Buckhannon, W.Va. practice.

 

Green Bay, Wis.-based Prevea Health added orthopedic surgeon Joseph McCormick, MD, to its staff.

 

Cheektowaga, N.Y.-based UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine announced Heidi Narins Suffoletto, MD, will rejoin the practice in mid-March.

 

Stamford (Conn.) Health announced Rudolph Taddonio, MD, was elected its new president.

 

Frederick Barnes, MD, John Paglia, MD, Brian Powers, MD, and Allister Williams, MD, are now practicing at East Stroudsburg, Pa.-based Mountain Valley Orthopedics' new satellite location in Dingmans Ferry, Pa.

 

Jonathan D. Krystal, MD, Brett Lenart, MD, Moiz Manaqibwala, MD, and Sasha Rouzeau, MD, joined Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group.

 

Mark I. Froimson, MD, stepped into the role of American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons' president.

 

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named Daniel K. Guy, MD, chair of the AAOS Board of Councilors.

 

David A. Halsey, MD, was named the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' first vice president at the organization's 2017 Annual Meeting in San Diego.

 

Ronald A. Navarro, MD, of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente was named a member of the AAOS board of directors.

 

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named Douglas Lundy, MD, MBA, chair of the AAOS Council on Advocacy.

 

William J. Maloney III, MD, took the helm as American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' president during the annual meeting in San Diego on March 17, 2017.

 

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named Kristy L. Weber, MD, the board of directors' second vice president.

 

Lisa K. Cannada, MD, became the first female chair of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' board of specialty societies.
