Tahoe Forest Health receives Own the Bone Star Performer designation: 3 notes

Incline Village, Nev.-based Tahoe Forest Health System was awarded an Own the Bone Star Performer designation for its fracture and bone healthcare, the Sierra Sun reports.

Here's what you need to know.

 

1. The health system had an exceptional compliance rate on 10 of the American Orthopaedic Association's prevention measures.

 

2. COO of TFHS Judy Newland said the recognition was well earned by the health system's physicians and staff.

 

3. Ms. Newland also feels that by participating in the program, the health system is making a commitment to helping patients understand the risk of fractures.
