Nick Moore, MD, recently performed the first minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided trigger finger release in Michigan.

Dr. Moore is a primary care sports medicine specialist at Motor City Orthopedics in Novi, Mich, which announced the milestone procedure on LinkedIn March 31.

The procedure was performed using Sonex Health's UltraGuideTFR, a hand-held device that uses ultrasound guidance to treat trigger finger through a small incision that can be closed with an adhesive strip or bandage.

The first trigger finger case using this device was completed in January.
