University of Chicago Medical Center Orthopaedics Center opened a satellite clinic in Orland Park, Ill., on April 6, according to Chicago Maroon.

Here are four takeaways:

 

1. The clinic aims to provide care for Chicago residents in the south and southwest suburbs.

 

2. Providers at the clinic specialize in joint reconstruction, spinal surgery, upper extremity surgery, foot and ankle surgery, arthritis treatment and sprain and strain treatment.

 

3. The clinic will also offer treatment for sports injuries.

 

4. UCMC will open a four-story ambulatory facility with the satellite clinic later this year. The ambulatory facility, the University of Chicago Medicine Center for Advanced Care, will provide services including medical oncology, gastroenterology, cardiology, women's health and comprehensive diabetes.
