Timothy Kremchek, MD, removed loose cartilage in the right shoulder of Cincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suárez, MLB.com reports.

What you should know:

1. Mr. Suárez injured his shoulder in a swimming pool "mishap," the report states.

2. Mr. Suárez will have his activity limited at the beginning of Spring Training, but the Reds believe he'll recover in time for the beginning of the regular season.

3. Dr. Kremchek is an orthopedic surgeon at Beacon Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Cincinnati. He is the team medical director for the Cincinnati Reds and an orthopedic consultant for the NFL.
