Chicago Bulls Team Physician Dr. Kathy Weber: Balancing the Post Season With Practice Responsibilities

Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Kathy Weber, MD, an orthopedic sports medicine physician at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago and team physician for the Chicago Bulls, recently spoke on balancing the two responsibilities while traveling with the team during the post season, according to a practice news release.

During the regular season, team physicians often take care of their team as well as the opposing team if an injury occurs. However, during the post season, the physicians travel with the athletes. "We think that's very important because we know our players the best," Dr. Weber said in the report.

In addition to diagnosing problems and designing treatment plans for the athletes, Dr. Weber has responsibilities with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and her own practice. She credits the outstanding leadership in the Chicago Bulls and good time management for her success in managing her responsibilities.
