Here are 10 orthopedic practices and hospitals offering sports injury clinics this fall.

1. Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. The clinic will be open on Saturday mornings through mid-October. A physician, physical therapist and athletic trainer will be available at the clinic. Athletes injured at their Friday night or Saturday morning games can receive x-rays, splinting, bracing, crutch instruction and rehabilitation exercises. The clinic treats walk-in patients but gives priority to patients with appointments.

2. OA Centers for Orthopaedics in Portland, Maine. The walk-in clinic will be open on Saturday mornings through the end of the season. Athletes with bruises, sprains and fractures will be treated by orthopedic sports medicine physicians.

3. Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital in Omaha.
The Friday Night Sports Injury Clinic opens between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. and will run through the end of October. The clinic treats athletes at all levels and includes an orthopedic physician and physical therapist. Injury and pain assessment, x-rays, casting and bracing are available at no cost to the athlete.

4. Borgess Sports Medicine in Kalamazoo, Mich. The clinic will be open on Saturday mornings until mid-November. Clinic services include concussion evaluation, full x-ray services, splinting, casting and bracing and return-to-play guidelines.

5. Southeastern Sports Medicine in Ashville, N.C. The new facility location accommodates Southeastern Sports Medicine's growing practice. In addition to the morning walk-in clinic, the facility offers a Friday night football clinic that staffs physicians and trainers who can evaluate and treat the injuries.

6. Cox Health and Ferrell-Duncan Clinic in Springfield, Mo.
Coaches, athletic directors and certified athletic trainers may refer athletes to the clinic for non-emergency injuries. The clinic will include an orthopedic surgeon, nurse, certified athletic trainer, radiology technician and clerical staff. The clinics continues throughout the football season.

7. Texas Hill Country Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine in San Marcos. The walk-in clinic is designed for middle and high school athletes to receive treatment for non-severe weekend injuries. The clinic offers rehab specialist and physical therapist services free of charge to the young athletes.

8. Wisconsin's Luther Midelfort Hospital in Eau Claire. The clinic, staffed by an athletic trainer and physical therapist, can evaluate acute and overuse injuries. The clinic will run through October.

9. Great River Health Systems in West Burlington, Iowa.
The clinic, open through the end of October, provides athletic trainers to evaluate and treat postgame injuries. Orthopedic surgeons are also available to treat injuries and provide follow-up care. Additionally, the clinic staff provides education for athletes and parents as well as rehabilitation plans for injured athletes.

10. The Methodist Center for Sports Medicine in Houston. The clinic offers MRI and CT scans. On-site physicians can diagnose patients and create a specific recovery plan to meet each athlete's individual needs.
