The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named Ellen Moore the new Chief Education Officer.

Ms. Moore brings several years of leadership experience in multiple organizations to her new role with AAOS. She previously served as vice president of strategic development at Association for Corporate Growth and vice president of education and certification services at SmithBucklin.

She will lead the design, development, delivery and financial management of the AAOS educational programs.

"My goal is to make sure we are developing and delivering compelling education programs for our members by exploring their learning preferences and developing the necessary platforms to meet those needs. Our education programs are evolving just as our member practices are, and we are quickly adapting to leverage new technologies and delivery options. Ultimately we strive to provide excellent value for members and other stakeholders who interact with AAOS around the world," Ms. Moore said in an organization news release.
