BlueCross & BlueShield of Rhode Island, South County Hospital and South County Orthopedics & Physical Therapy have entered into an agreement to provide patients with bundled payments for knee and hip replacement surgery, according to a Narragansett-South Kingstown Patch report.
BCBSRI, South County Orthopedics and South County Hospital have agreed upon clinical best practices, quality metrics and set prices for a full range of services.
The bundled payment model is designed to include surgery, primary care, radiology, hospital, pharmacy and physician therapy services.
