Darren Johnson, MD, chair of the department of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at University of Kentucky HealthCare, has been named 2013 Southeastern Conference Team Physician of the Year. Dr. Johnson was chosen based on feedback from athletic training team from participating SEC organizations. He earned his medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine and went on to complete a residency at University of Southern California and a fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
