Richard Steadman, MD, co-founder of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., recently performed knee surgery on Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden, according to a Businessworld report.
Mr. Oden originally underwent a minor procedure on his knee to clear out debris, but Dr. Steadman found additional damage and performed microfracture surgery, according to a Fox News report. The most recent procedure is Mr. Oden's second microfracture surgery on his left knee. He has also undergone one microfracture surgery in his right knee and surgery for a fractured left knee cap.
