Coastal Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Newport Richey, Fla., has joined the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund's medical program to provide medical care for retired National Football League players in need of care, according to an organization news release.
GGAF is a charitable organization chaired by former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka to provide financial aid and medical assistance to former NFL players and their families. By joining the organization, Coastal Orthopaedics will offer pro bono surgical and medical services to GGAF members in need of treatment such as knee and hip replacement surgery or physical therapy.
