Arnot Health Foundation names New York neurosurgeon a Healthcare Hero

Elmira, N.Y.-based Arnot Health Foundation will recognize David C-Y Kung, MD, with its Healthcare Hero award at the fifth annual Arnot Health Gala celebration, Oct. 20, Elmira Star-Gazette reports.

Dr. Kung is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. He received his medical degree from National Defense Medical Center in Taipei, Taiwan.

"Dr. Kung's steadfast commitment to neurosurgery, his expertise and accessibility have all defined his role within our community," Lisa Ventura, senior director of the Arnot Health Foundation, told Elmira Star-Gazette. "As such, he has become one of the most identifiable and well-respected neurosurgeons in this area."
