Dr. Ara Deukmedjian joins the Expert Network: 5 key notes

Ara Deukmedjian, MD, of Deuk Spine Institute in Melbourne, Fla., was selected to be among the first neurosurgeons included in the Expert Network. Deuk Spine Institute was also selected as the first Spine Center of Excellence in the world by Johnson & Johnson.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. Dr. Deukmedjian has been listed as the best back surgeon by Laser Spine Surgery Reviews and a pioneer in minimally invasive laser and endoscopic spine treatment.

 

2. With 20 years of experience, Dr. Deukmedjian developed a technique named the Deuk Laser Disc Repair, which is a modern alternative to spinal fusion surgery and outdated laser surgery.

 

3. The Deuk Laser Disk Repair procedure uses an endoscope to separate the muscle and ligaments before carrying out disc repair with a laser.

 

4. In his one stop shop, Dr. Deukmedjian has performed over 2,000 cervical decompressive discectomies, 1,000 herniated disc treatments and over 300 laser spine surgeries.

 

5. Dr. Deukmedjian created the nonprofit Deuk Spine Foundation to support the research and development of innovative techniques in spine.
