Rush creates program to bolster global spine education

Spine

Chicago-based Rush University is launching the Rush International Spine Education initiative in November to advance spine education among specialists worldwide.

Four things to know:

1. RISE will address diagnosis, treatment, outcomes and preventative measures of many spinal disorders though online and in-person learning.

2. The first topic will be cervical radiculopathy and myelopathy. It will include lectures covering basic science, clinical assessment as well as nonoperative and operative management and surgical outcomes.

3. The program is part of Rush's Center for Innovative and Lifelong Learning initiative, which focuses on continuing education courses and professional development in orthopedics.

4. RISE includes an academic certificate of completion and will offer Continuing Medical Education credit.
