1st neurosurgeon to use 3D implant technology for cervical spine surgery shares experience

Neurosurgeon Juan Jimenez, MD, of Bourbonnais, Ill.-based Riverside Healthcare, is the first surgeon to use a new 3D-printed implant technology for cervical spine surgery, according to WGN Radio.

Dr. Jimenez was featured on the radio station's Wellness Wednesday segment. During the segment, Dr. Jimenez talked about his changing industry and how to use the minimally invasive technology.

With interests in spinal reconstruction and minimally invasive spine surgery, Dr. Jimenez is a member of the American Medical Association and American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He is board-certified in neurosurgery.

After earning his medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UC Los Angeles, Dr. Jimenez completed his residency at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center.
