image001Pierce Nunley, MD (Spine Institute of Louisiana, Shreveport).

Dr. Nunley is the director of the Spine Institute of Louisiana and serves as an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and serves on the research fund management committee of the North American Spine Society.


Dr. Nunley is also a board member of the American College of Spine Surgery and serves on the board for the Spine Institute of Louisiana Foundation and Musculoskeletal Institute of Louisiana. Throughout his career, Dr. Nunley has published his research in professional journals and presented papers internationally.


Dr. Nunley earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center and did his internship and residency at LSU Health Sciences Center. His additional training includes a spine fellowship at the University of Basel in Switzerland and the Dallas Spine Group. He also has specialized training in sports medicine.
