Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Matthew Wilson of Western Neuro

Matthew Wilson, MD, is a neurosurgeon with Western Neuro in Tucson, Ariz.

Dr. Wilson specializes in the treatment of degenerative spine disorders, spine fractures, minimally invasive spine surgery and brain tumors.

He is affiliated with several hospitals including Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, Ariz., and St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., which recently purchased the ExcelsiusGPS robotic navigation system for spine surgery.

Dr. Wilson graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee and the Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis.

He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
