Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Mohamed Abdulhamid of Royal Spine Surgery

Mohamed Abdulhamid, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon, founding director and CEO at Royal Spine Surgery in Phoenix.

Dr. Abdulhamid serves as president at Sonospine in Scottsdale, Ariz. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City and underwent minimally invasive and complex spine surgery fellowship training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and is certified in the Sonosculpt procedure, which uses high-frequency ultrasonic vibration to remove bone spurs and discs compressing the spinal cord or nerves. Dr. Abdulhamid has extensive experience treating traumatic brain and spine injuries related to sports, work and motor vehicle accidents.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and photography.
