Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Mark Palumbo, MD, serves as chief of spine surgery and an associate professor of orthopedics at Brown Alpert Medical School in Providence, R.I.
A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Palumbo is also affiliated with the North American Spine Society, Rhode Island Orthopaedic Society and American Medical Association.
Performing reconstructive and trauma adult spinal surgery, Dr. Palumbo treats cervical spine disorders. He researches cervical spine arthritis, spinal stenosis and athlete neck injuries.
After earning his medical degree from Boston University, Dr. Palumbo completed an orthopedic residency at Brown University. He completed a spine surgery fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
