Orthopedic device maker Synthes has sued spine device company Globus Medical, alleging three patent infringements, according to a Bloomberg report.
Synthes says the Globus Independence, Coalition and InterContinental Plate-spacer systems infringe on its patent-protected technology. The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court in Wilmington, Del.
The suit comes in the middle of Johnson & Johnson's $21.3 billion acquisition of Synthes.
