Gramercy Extremity Orthopedics' distal fibular ankle fracture plating system and multi-application extremity plating system received FDA approval, the devicemaker said Feb. 21.
Gramercy Extremity Orthopedics provides sterilized, single-use orthopedic implants and instruments. The new plating systems will integrate with the company's current systems and instrument kits, according to a news release.
"The release of these new plating systems represents the continued expansion of GEO’s product line and highlights the unique benefits of the GEO Cart," Chief Technology Officer Paul Vista said in the release. "Having a well-rounded product offering for foot and ankle procedures, sterile packaged and always ready in the OR, is extremely advantageous to surgeons, the facilities and, most importantly, their patients."
