Viseon's minimally invasive spine visualization tool

Spinal Tech

Viseon's 4K MaxView system for minimally invasive spine surgery visualization has launched, and the first clinical cases were completed, the company said Aug. 15.

Initial cases were done by Rajiv Sethi, MD, and Philip Louie, MD at Seattle-based Virginia Mason Medical Center; Samuel Joseph, MD at HCA South Tampa (Fla.) Hospital, and Alfred Ogden, MD at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J., according to a news release.

MaxView is a towerless system with no capital equipment expense and occupying no operating room footprint. It has a single-use camera and a reusable image control box.

"This is a major step forward enabling cases to be performed where large, expensive capital equipment is not economically or practically available," Dr. Louie said in the release.
