Medline to build new distribution center; adds 100 jobs in Florida — 6 points

Broadview, Ill.-based Medline bought 51 acres of land in Auburndale, Fla., for a new medical supplies distribution center, according to The Daily Ridge.

Here are six points:

 

1. Medline plans to begin construction in fall 2016.

 

2. The new center will span 830,000 square feet.

 

3. Medline's distribution center will be designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification.

 

4. The new center is anticipated to create 100 new jobs in Auburndale.

 

5. The company chose Auburndale because of its central location, near five hospitals.

 

6. Medline sells its medical supplies and clinical solutions to hospitals, physician offices, ambulatory surgery centers, nursing homes and home care.
