Medtronic, Boston Scientific and St. Jude Medical came under attack from hackers in 2013, according to a San Francisco Chronicle report.
The companies made no disclosures of the computer attacks, despite federal law requiring disclosures for any patient data breaches. The medical device companies may not have been aware of the attacks at the time they occurred.
It's not clear what the hackers' intentions were.
