Total joint specialist Rajeev Puri, MD, performed Amita Health St. Mary's Hospital's first two joint replacements with Zimmer Biomet's Rosa Knee in February.

The Kankakee, Ill.-based hospital is now offering robotic knee replacements through surgeons from Oak Orthopedics.

"We are excited to be the first to provide this proven technology to the Kankakee area," Dr. Puri said in a Feb. 12 news release. "All of our joint replacement specialists at Oak Orthopedics are either trained or are getting trained on this procedure."

Bradley, Ill.-based Oak Orthopedics is a 13-physician group with six locations, including a surgery center. The practice was acquired by Des Plaines-based Illinois Bone & Joint Institute last year.
