West Virginia hospital installs Rosa surgical robot

Ranson, W.Va.-based Jefferson Medical Center installed the Medtech Rosa Surgical Robot to assist with total knee replacements, local news station LocalDVM.com reports.

What you should know:

1. The technology assists surgeons during total knee replacement.

2. Jefferson Medical is the first center in the region to install the Rosa robotic technology.

3. The hospital has performed two procedures with the device, with positive outcomes in each instance.
