Peru, Ill.-based Illinois Valley Community Hospital welcomed orthopedic surgeon James Murphy, MD, to its team, according to The Times.
Here are five notes:
1. Dr. Murphy previously served as chief of orthopedic surgery at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind.
2. He is a board-certified foot and ankle specialist, with an interest in sports medicine.
3. Dr. Murphy serves as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
4. He is also affiliated with Arthroscopy Association of North America and Orthopeadic Research and Education Foundation.
5. He completed his orthopedic residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans.
