AAHKS awards 4 surgeons with Young Investigators Award

The American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons awarded the James A. Rand Young Investigators Award to several orthopedic surgeons, according to an AAOS Now report.

The surgeons who received the award include:

 

1. Paul M. Courtney, MD, a Pennsylvania-based orthopedic surgeon who earned his medical degree at Georgetown University. He is in his fourth year of clinical residency at Penn Medicine.

 

2. Joshua C. Rozell, MD, a Pennsylvania-based orthopedic surgeon who earned his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine. He is in his second year of clinical residency at Penn Medicine.

 

3. Christopher Melnic, MD, a Pennsylvania-based orthopedic surgeon who earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He is in his fourth year of clinical residency at Penn Medicine.

 

4. Gwo-Chin Lee, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine and completed his fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
