Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System welcomed orthopedic surgeon Joshua Balts, MD, according to the Leader-Telegram.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Balts joined the orthopedic surgery department at Mayo Clinic Health System — Northland in Barron, Wis.
2. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Balts is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
3. Dr. Balts earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, also based in Madison.
4. After growing up in Barron/Rice Lake, Wis., Dr. Balts returned to establish his practice, which focuses on fracture care, joint replacement and shoulder arthroscopy.
