Regence adds 36-physician orthopedic group to value-based care program

Practice Management

Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery, a 36-physician practice with locations in Oregon and Southwest Washington, is the latest practice to join Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon's Episodes of Care program.

The value-based program, managed by Dallas-based Signify Health, compensates providers that deliver improved outcomes and lower costs over a defined period of time.

Through the partnership, Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery will provide Regence health plan members "comprehensive pricing" for orthopedic and neurological episodes, including lumbar spinal fusion, lumbar laminectomy, hip and knee replacement and revision, knee arthroscopy and shoulder replacement, according to an Aug. 31 news release.

"The clinical teams providing care across our nine locations have always been dedicated to delivering care that will help patients get back to their quality of life as quickly as possible," said Will Mowe, executive director of Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery. "Participating in this innovative program allows us to showcase our best-in-class approach to provide high-quality, affordable care and to be able to help more people throughout the region."

In addition to orthopedics, Regence's Episodes of Care program includes cardiac procedures, gastroenterology and maternity care.
